All Your Heart

All Your Heart

Jesus asks for “all your heart.” Consequentially, our own understanding of any given situation is abased on a paradigm too often skewed by a flawed point of view. We cannot trust ourselves because seeing, we do not learn anything, and what we hear we do not understand.

Moreover, we live under this ancient curse that can be traced all the way back to the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. We hear just well enough to think we understand, and we see just enough to think we perceive what is going on—all the whle we are a danger to ourselves as Satan whispers, “did God really say this?”

Our only hope is to trust in the Lord, even when His way defies our natural logic. We cannot see all ends.

Prayer, Praise the Lord for all he has done for me! I call to you, take away all of my fears and cover me with your loving grace.

“Our anxiety does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow, but only empties today of its strength” Charles Spurgeon

Proverbs 3:5

do not depend on your own understanding.
