Go and Tell

Go and Tell

Jesus wants us to go and tell others. H quotes the passage in Isaiah 6:9-10 more than any other. He was always teaching in parables so that it may be fulfilled. And yet, through His spirit, He offers us the antidote to this ancient curse which still prevails over all of humanity. His ways are so mysterious that the world cannot grasp His truth without the indwelling Spirit.

The Pharisee Saul of Tarsus new scripture better than most of his contemporaries. Yet he lacked that in dwelling of the Spirit until Jesus revealed himself to Saul on the road to Damascus. Before his encounter with the risen Christ, Saul was listening but not understanding and was plugging his ears and shutting his eyes to the Gospel.

Pray this day for wisdom, that your eyes may be open, your ears tuned to hear His voice. And be ready to act so that you may go and tell others.

“Has this world been so kind to you that you should leave with regret? There are better things ahead than any we leave behind.” C. S. Lewis

Isaiah 6:9-10

And he said, “Yes, go, and say to this people,

‘Listen carefully, but do not understand.
Watch closely, but learn nothing.’
10 Harden the hearts of these people.
Plug their ears and shut their eyes.
That way, they will not see with their eyes,
nor hear with their ears,
nor understand with their hearts
and turn to me for healing.” (NLT)
