Heavens are Higher
The heavens are higher than all of our knowledge and wisdom. Our first mistake comes with the thinking that we are smarter than God when it comes to knowing what is best for us. We my not put it so bluntly; however, our actions make it plain that we believe we know better than He does. Our lessons come hard, and often painfully until we learn otherwise.
With each test we are amazed that His way was better. And yet, our stubborn pride rebounds again and again, convincing us despite the contrary evidence, that we can govern ourselves. Experience should have taught us the danger of relying on our own thinking.
Prayer, Lord, don’t let my heart be proud; keep my eyes upon you. I don’t understand every matter, some are too great or too awesome for me to grasp. My trust and loyalty are in you to lead me when I don’t understand.
