Call On Him

Call On Him

When do you call on him? Mornings can be the best time to go in search of the Lord, while it is quiet and the busy day ahead is still a safe distance away. Call upon the Lord during the early morning quiet time, before the urgencies of the day begin calling upon you. It is during this foggy state of mind between sleep and awake that we can often find Him nearest.

Food and clothes cost money, they last a short time and only meet our physical needs. Jesus makes it abundantly clear that God offers us more important nourishment that feeds our soul. We only need to seek Him out and listen. The purpose of communications is not to speak, but to be heard and understood. Most people do not want to hear or even listen because they are too busy perusing their own agendas.

Remember that God does not move away from us later when the telephone is ringing and the television or radio is blaring, but we are no longer seeking Him because we are amidst so many distractions. Call on him, he is always available.

“Beware of no man more than of yourself; we carry our worst enemies within us.”Charles Spurgeon

Isaiah 55:6

6 Seek the Lord while you can find him.
Call on him now while he is near. (NLT)
