The Certificate in Biblical Studies (C.B.S.) The Certificate in Biblical Studies requires 21 semester hours of prescribed credits taken at NationsUniversity, plus two proctored comprehensive exams. Transfer credit cannot be substituted for these Certificate courses. In addition to recognizing a student’s accomplishment, the certificate also enables the University to evaluate the student’s potential for achieving a higher academic award.
The C.B.S. is designed for current and aspiring church leaders, teachers, or anyone ready to take their study of God’s Word to both a higher and deeper level. All credits earned can be applied to a full degree program. Pursuing a Certificate in Biblical Studies (21 Credit Hours) you will learn how to demonstrate an awareness of the content and meaning of biblical canon, apply the tools for sound exegesis of scripture, and be equipped for personal spiritual formation. Admission into the Certificate in Biblical Studies Program
Admission to the C.B.S. program requires the following:
- Submission of an official transcript that indicates graduation from a secondary school, a G.E.D. (secondary school equivalency), or a university transcript that indicates secondary completion.
- No financial obligations to the University.
- Submission of a TOEFL score of 500 or above or acceptable substitute (61 iBT, 6.0 IELTS, 44 PTE, grade level 3 on ACT Compass, Pre-1 on Eiken English Proficiency Exam, secondary school diploma where instruction is in English, or “C” or better on English Composition from an accredited college) by student whose native language is not English.
